Engaging Environments

Check out this video!

This video is a great example of how changing the environment may help caregivers and persons living with dementia cope with changes in cognitive function!

Help us build a list of changes/additions you can make to create a more dementia-friendly living space:

Kitchen/Dining Area: Bathroom:

- Use coloured plates (to contrast with food) - Install a motion-sensored light (to ensure

accessibility at night)

Living Room: Bedroom:

- Remove area rugs (to prevent tripping) - Add pictures of family members (to create a

familiar/comfortable space)

Please add your suggestions in the comments section!
